Sedans from Tampa International Airport to St. Pete Beach start at $125. SUVs start at $190. This rate covers a direct point-to-point transfer in a standard black vehicle. Tolls and fuel are included. Terminal meet-and-greet, parking, and extra wait time are billed separately. Gratuity is not included unless your corporate account specifies otherwise.
What roads do we use and how long is the drive?
The distance is about 25 miles. Most affiliates take Interstate 275 south across the Howard Frankland Bridge. They connect to the Pinellas Bayway, State Road 682, and then Gulf Boulevard south. An alternate route crosses the Gandy Bridge to U.S. Highway 19 and then heads south. Drive time is normally 40 to 60 minutes. Late-night trips can take closer to 35 minutes.
What is the traffic reality and when should you add buffer?
Interstate 275 southbound slows from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. The Howard Frankland Bridge is undergoing a widening project, which causes lane shifts and slower speeds. The Pinellas Bayway has a toll and a drawbridge that can add 10 to 15 minutes. St. Pete Beach includes the historic Don CeSar hotel, which opened in 1928. Pass-a-Grille, at the southern tip, is one of the oldest beach communities in Pinellas County. Add 30 minutes on weekends and during resort check-in times.
What vehicles are used?
Black sedans are usually Lincoln Continental or similar full-size models. SUVs are typically Chevrolet Suburbans or Cadillac Escalades depending on affiliate availability. Sedans fit up to three passengers with two large bags. SUVs seat six or seven and handle more luggage. We do not own vehicles in Tampa. Our dispatch team is a Tampa-focused service that coordinates every ride through vetted local affiliate operators. The exact make and model may vary.
What should you know before booking?
St. Pete Beach, Pass-a-Grille, and the Don CeSar area have narrow beach roads. Gulf Boulevard can back up with pedestrians, cyclists, and the Suncoast Beach Trolley. Resort loading zones are time-limited. Providing the resort name and room number helps the driver stage properly. Fort De Soto Park is nearby and draws additional weekend traffic through the Pinellas Bayway.
