What roads do we use and how long is the drive?

The distance is about 84 miles via Interstate 4. From Downtown Tampa, drivers take I-4 east directly into Orlando. From South Tampa or the airport, they connect via I-275 or the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway. Drive time is normally 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. Off-peak trips can reach 1 hour 20 minutes.

What is the traffic reality and when should you add buffer?

Interstate 4 is the main corridor between Tampa and Orlando. It is a 132-mile interstate that runs from Tampa to Daytona Beach. Traffic slows near Plant City, Lakeland, and the Orlando attractions area. Rush hours in both metros run 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Orlando's Orange County Convention Center is one of the largest convention centers in the United States. Add 45 to 60 minutes for important meetings, flights, or events.

What vehicles are used?

Black sedans are usually Lincoln Continental or similar full-size models. SUVs are typically Chevrolet Suburbans or Cadillac Escalades depending on affiliate availability. Sedans fit up to three passengers with two large bags. SUVs seat six or seven and handle more luggage. We do not own vehicles in Tampa. Our dispatch team is a Tampa-focused service that coordinates every ride through vetted local affiliate operators. The exact make and model may vary.

What should you know before booking?

Long-distance affiliates prefer advance notice, especially for early-morning or late-night runs. Last-minute requests may be limited. Orlando International Airport is about 18 miles southeast of downtown Orlando via the Beachline Expressway. The quoted rate includes tolls on I-4 and the Selmon Expressway. If you need a stop along the way, tell us when booking so we can allocate time.
